Marc E. Maurer
“When a manmade environment transcends mere building and takes on the enduring qualities of meaning and place, then it, like an arch in the desert, has become a work of architecture.” —Marc Maurer Marc Maurer founded Genesis Designs Architecture and Planning in 1991. Marc received his Master of Architecture degree with a specialty in energy efficient design, from Arizona State University. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and is registered in Colorado. Marc’s design specialties are sustainable architecture and planning with a special emphasis on energy efficiency, alternative energy sources, healthy buildings, and environmentally sensitive and resource-efficient design. His extensive portfolio includes custom residential and commercial buildings, luxury and conservation neighborhoods, multimillion-dollar commercial and institutional complexes, comprehensive town planning, and mixed-use developments. Marc served as an architectural consultant for Redlands Mesa Golf Community, a course that has consistently received high rankings from Golf Digest, Golf Magazine, Golf Week, Links Magazine and Sports Illustrated. Marc is an avid outdoorsman who enjoys skiing, hiking and camping with his wife and four children. He is an active member of Mesa View Bible Church and Grand Mesa Judo, Inc. He lives on 15 beautiful acres in Mesa, Colorado. Awards
